Independent Family Reports that put children first.
Livian Consulting provides evidence-based Family Reports and social work assessments to help the Court understand children’s needs, family dynamics, and parenting capacity during separation and legal proceedings. Our work is impartial, child-focused, and grounded in best-practice social work.
Supporting Courts and Families With Insight and Integrity
A Clear Voice For Children in Family Law Matters
Every family’s story is unique. Our reports bring together professional social work assessment, child interviews, and parental perspectives to give the Court a clear, balanced understanding of what’s in each child’s best interests.
Our role is to provide the Court with an independent, balanced understanding of each child’s lived experience. Through structured interviews, observations, and evidence-informed assessment, we ensure children’s needs, safety and wellbeing are at the centre of decision-making.

Child-Centred and Evidence-Informed
Our assessments prioritise the voice, safety and developmental needs of children, supported by current research and best-practice social work frameworks.
Clear, Practical Recommendations
Reports are written with clarity, structure and professional insight to support judges, lawyers and Independent Children’s Lawyers in making informed decisions.
Independent & Unbiased
We maintain strict neutrality. Parties do not communicate with us outside scheduled interviews, ensuring fairness, transparency and procedural integrity.
Experienced in Complex Family Systems
With backgrounds across mental health, child protection, forensic settings and neurodivergent family support, we understand the nuanced realities that influence parenting and safety.
